The thing that makes credit cards so dangerous is that they are convenient. It is so much easier to just swipe your card than have to deal with change all day long in your pocket. Really the whole convenience excuse isn’t enough though for some people they just get addicted to the allusion of having a lot of money. Credit cards give you pretty good buying power but they also carry with them a very large interest rate. For most this interest rate would detour them from spending the money they don’t have but for a few that isn’t enough. It is a rough life having to juggle paying all of the bills and spending money is a release.
It really is a stress release for some people so spending becomes an addiction. Like a drug the credit card industry is starting to plague society from the ground up. I doubt that the government will outright make credit cards illegal but I think we will be seeing the government putting much more restriction on their use. They also see this debt epidemic starting to work its way into all facets of life. It won’t be long before you will have to check into credit card rehab.
